The lower the temperature, the higher the impact: Henkel has developed an innovative low temperature cleaner for aluminum beverage cans that is now available around the world. BONDERITE C-IC 72000 series reduces the cleaning bath temperature by 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit compared to standard cleaners, reducing natural gas use and in turn, saving energy costs and lowering the carbon footprint of the process. Bonderite C-IC 72000 is also low foaming, allowing for rinse water optimization, and can contribute to both water and energy savings in the cleaning process. In a recent trial, a can maker reduced their overall natural gas usage in the plant by 15% and their water consumption by 25%!
